AoB Secure VPN - FortiClient
AoB VPN - FortiClient
Written by: Bradley Willis
FortiClient VPN, is the new VPN solution for all AoB Devices. Connecting to the VPN will allow you to access your work folders and resources while at home, or on the road. Unlike the old "Always On VPN", FortiClient requires you to manually Sign-In, but now supports Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). Follow the below instructions to learn how to connect to your new VPN.
Instructions:
- Open the FortiClient Console from the expanded taskbar. (Note: the VPN will fail to connect while in an AoB office location)

- Once open, click on "Connect"

- You will then be prompted to sign in to your Microsoft account. Enter your work email address and the corresponding password. (Note: you may be prompted to complete MFA)

- Once successfully authenticated, your VPN will attempt to connect. You can view the progress of this by looking at the "status" bar. Successful VPN connections can take 10-20 seconds to complete.

- Once a successful connection has been made, the FortiClient VPN Console will automatically minimize.
- If you wish to confirm you're successfully connected to your VPN, re-open the console and check for the "VPN Connected" text in the Top-Left hand corner.
